1000 New Young Clergy in 10 years

At a recent conference of the 100 largest churches in United Methodism, the pastors of all the churches agreed to raise up 10 young people to become Elders within the next ten years. While it may seem that the larger churches have a head start on resources, there are several instances of churches nurturing the call within people of all ages for the ministry. I have no question, just thought it was interesting considering the concept and ideas presented by folks in our group. I do have some thoughts on a big church (heh, heh, heh), but I will save those for another time.
